Offerings
You may or may not know what type of editing your work needs. And that totally makes sense. Below gives you an overview of what I offer. During an introductory call or consultation, we will talk through your needs. You can learn more about the process here.
Copy editing
Copy editing includes reviewing all details for spelling and grammar, punctuation, typographical errors, and consistency throughout and with the style guide.
Proofreading
Proofreading typically is the last review before publishing. It includes checking all details, content, formatting, etc., to be as complete as possible and adheres to the style guide.
Formatting
Does your content simply need streamlining and consistency in formatting? Using your preferences and any style guides, I will ensure consistency throughout your content.
Style guide creation
A style guide (or style sheet) lists out all the rules and/or preferences specific to your work. It includes punctuation, word usage, capitalizations, specific spelling, language/dialect, acronyms & terms, etc. The guide provides the roadmap for formatting, editing, and consistency.
If you are in need of a customized style guide that you can use beyond the current project, I will create it based on your preferences and the conversations we have together.
References list
Using your required or prefered style guide/reference formatting, I will ensure all references througout your content and the bibliography/references list at the end are formatted correctly.
Short-form content
Such as social media posts/stories/reels or emails <250 words.
Typically only requires proofreading.

$30.00-$35.00 per hour
Rush jobs (<48 hours)
Surcharge of 10%
Students
Editing & proofreading class essays: $25.00 per hour
Editing & proofreading post-secondary applications/essays: $30.00 per hour

Short-form content
$30.00-$35.00 per content piece
(depending on level of intervention needed)
Rates above are generally based on a single piece of content. It would be an honour to with you long-term and/or on recurring pieces. In such cases, we will work together on the business terms.
